- My Experience
- During this time of social distancing, there have been quite a few uprisings surrounding the tragic killings of Black individuals at the hands of police. Recent protests have been ongoing. Here are some items of ephemera collected from a small Black Lives Matter solidarity march organized by a local 15 year old girl. During the march, passing cars honked in support, a couple even stopped to join in, and a few threats of violence were shouted as well. Some local towns declared states of emergency, but in this community, most people expressed surprise at how much support that people showed.
