- My Experience
- I wanted to express the beauty of the cells and the ugliness of the cells in the same painting. Although I placed my name on the piece, there are many different ways to hang this painting. Green is the color of nature so the background was a natural choice. I first painted the cells and then decided to add the mask to pull the cells inward. The position of the masks was purposefully done to remind us of the straps going over our ears - quite annoying!
